Happiness is felt with the heart, mind, and soul.
An emotion so special cannot be felt alone.
Something so beautiful almost impossible to control.
When you reach happiness it will be the best feeling you will have ever known.

Jealousy.

Jealousy is a buried love.
Hidden behind the hatred of what you wish to be.
All your insecurities shine from above.
Something so cold, so shameful, the world cannot see.

A simple story can change your views on life.

A tale of bravery, love, or horror.

Could be as beautiful as the sound of the fife,

Or as cold as the heart of the dead.

Each with a moral, each with purpose.

Each beautiful storyline replaying inside your head.

Reading is so magical.
Each story taking you to a new dimension.
No two alike, all equally incredible.
Travelling away from your own reality, saving you with sweet redemption.

War

War is like a broken window.
You won't be able to see until it's pieces are together.
Pain comes along the journey of reassembly.
A small accident leading to larger struggles.
Sometimes the pieces don't fit, like a Tower beside a hut.
The pieces good for nothing
Unless they are one.

Summer Free Verse

Laying under the bright sun
All my cares away.
Wishing summer would only stay.
Nothing is like summer fun.

My hair blowing in the wind.
Birds singing with that summer tune.
Going back to school soon,
Light hair and tan skinned.

Wishing I was back in June;
Summer ends oh too soon.



 

Dark Reflections

It cuts so deep,

the pain.

I have no one.

Something my heart can no longer sustain.

Waiting to break, waiting to fall, waiting for someone to just listen.

Waiting for the lonely in my heart to disappear.

To leave.

Looking in the mirror seeing someone so innocent, so pure.

But inside a reality so twisted, so evil, so cold.

When will it end, when will I find the cure

When will I see myself as I the one I was before?

An Introduction to my Blog! :)

Heey! :) Here's a small introduction to my blog and also the first task. I chose the name "Aly's Blog" for my blog because my name is Aly and it doesn't narrow my blog to specific topic of poetry. I don't think anything is really influencing the look of blog. I don't wan't to make a specific theme to my blog because I would like to write a variety of different themed poems, I think this will be more interesting the readers of my blog. :)
